Single-Point-of-Failure Leadership
Governance gap #1 in Governance Gaps and Risks — that page is the source of truth; this page is the summary anchor for incoming links.
The Gap
Mat O’Keefe is the sole publicly visible leader of Pride of Our Footscray with no identified succession plan. He is simultaneously the only publicly named director, CEO, founder, spokesperson, and parliamentary campaign president. All external communications route through him; if he were absent for two weeks, high-level government communications would break first.
Why It Matters
Concentration of leadership in one person is both an operational risk (no deputy or understudy for external relationships) and a governance signal that affects investor and grant-maker confidence. It interacts with Corporate Structure Reform — a co-operative conversion would embed broader democratic governance.
